Today is Earth Overshoot Day.
In less than eight months, we used more natural resources than the planet is able to produce in a 12 month period. For the remainder of 2014, we will be living on resources borrowed from future generations. We demand more than Earth can produce. The question isn't when our planet will be broken, it already is. The question is, can we fix it? The biggest threat isn't being hit by a meteorite or being invaded by aliens. The biggest threat is.. we.
