A somewhat freaked out trip...
At wednesday I and my daughter went to Stockholm. She was going on her first concert ever (1 Direction). I planned the trip real well, we would take the train up and check in at the hotel and then go to the arena. We were supposed to be up there at 14.50 and the concert was to start at 20.00. But as we were 1 hour from the desination the train stopped and we was informed that a powerline had fallen down on the track and caused a fire and the didn't knew how long it would take to fix it. I know it's not something that are fixable in an hour and I was right, after 1,5 hours they finally inform us that there will be busses taking us the rest of the way. The only problem was we had to wait and wait for those busses and couldn't get on one until 16,30. And I knew 1 hour with train ment alot more on a friggin bus. I was right. We didn't arrive until 18.45 in Stockholm and by that time she was pretty hysterical. I thank all good forces in the world that I was smart enough to book a hotel near the station. The bus stopped only 200 meters from it. So we ran to the hotel, checked in, up to the room where she changed clothes, back to the station, bought a Snickers and a coke for her on the go since we hadn't eaten since the morning, found the right commuter, half running 10 minutes to the arena and finally arrived there 20 minutes before the concert started and there I could let her cousins take care of her (I wasn't going to the concert). So then wait for 2,5 hours outside since the arena is brand new and there was still no commerce around it. I was freezing like hell. And then after the concert try to sneak by 33 k young teen girls that was all heading for the station to get on the commuter. Yeah I managed to get us in the commuter at once (because I'm smart like that ;)) and then back to the hotel. We were back by midnight and then we finally could get some food. Guess if I was totally exhausted lol? But it was worth it when I saw the happy smile on her face after the concert. We spend the day after on the museum of Natural history (my kind of place) and I had dinner with my friends in the evening. Now we just came home and I want to fall down on the couch and never get up lol. And it will most likely be like that because my body is one giant ache.
